Benadir University signed a Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with various international Universities after the

university chancellor Prof: Abdirizak Ahmed Dalmar paid an official visit to the United States and Sweden.

University of Minnesota and Tulane university in the US as well as karolinska institute, KTH, UMEA university and
Uppsala university in Sweden have sealed a mutual understanding agreement with Benadir University.
 
Speaking at a workshop titled “ knowledge development and the role of Somali universities” orginised by the association
of medical students at the university’s conference hall, the rector stated that the MoU will allow Benadir University
and the new partners to cooperate in terms of research, training, staff development and academic programs.

“It's a great achievement for entire BU family” he said, adding that that some of the collaborations involved research in agriculture and engineering.

University administration, Deans and students were present at the workshop addressed by Prof Noor Diriye Hersi Fursade.
